Meet Elle-May, she owns Nails by Elle specialising in all things nails 💅🏽
Elle came to me in November 2023 to attend one of my gel polish course days as a total beginner with the goal of a complete career change for her future. With a busy job as a carer she wanted to be in control of her own working hours and earn more money!
After a few weeks of practicing and planning she decided she had to just dive straight in! Elle joined a gorgeous salon called The Hair and Lash Shack _ as a self employed nail technician working alongside her sister! By keeping her employed job as a carer and working on her days off at the salon this allowed Elle to build up her client base and income without any pressure.
Elle then returned to me a few months later, in February to train in Acrylic Nail Extensions, expanding her services meant she could build up her client base even quicker.
With hard work, consistency and determination.. Elle was able to leave her employed job at the beginning of September, only 6 months later!! and is now a full time nail technician 👏🏼
It really is such an incredible feeling seeing someone succeed and thrive, building their own business, knowing I was able to help them get started with it 🥹
This is the advice she would give someone who is thinking about doing a course..
💬 Just do it! If you’ve thought about being in the industry you should definitely book the course and work towards your goals! It’s the best decision i’ve ever made. If you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life 💫
